Bistrobar Indonesia: discovering the great dining opportunities in Haarlem
Wanna explore what’s outside of Amsterdam? Haarlem is with its many historical sights one of the most charming towns in The Netherlands and perfect for sightseers’ with all its hidden gems. The small city is just 20 minutes (and 15 by train), and so a hop away, from Amsterdam. Oh: and very close to the Dutch Coast with plenty of nice beaches like Zandvoort or Bloemendaal.
Haarlem offers great dining opportunities, The girl from Amsterdam was invited for a food & drink try-out at Bistrobar Indonesia with cocktails from Caramol. As you guys all know: I love to discover and try new restaurants!
The restauraunt is a collaboration with Ron Blaauw and his Chef Agus Hermawan (the official ambassador of the Indonesian cuisine in The Netherlands). Fun fact: Agus was born on Java and was taught the authentic Indonesian cuisine by his own mother. Nowadays he creates (yes, his dishes are a true creation) modern indonesian dishes in The Netherlands.
Bistrobar Indonesia serves Indo street food, small dishes and Indonesian rice tables perfect for sharing (because sharing is caring!).
I can only say that the eyecatching dishes are a true explosion on your tongue. It’s just: WOW! The way how the restaurant combines flavours and mixes real Indonesian ingredients is absolutely heaven! And don’t forget to try one ,or more :), of the menu’s desserts prepared on a Indonesian way.
Just hop on the train to Haarlem and experience it by yourself.
